A quiet hamlet before the lake
Sari Village is a small Garhwali settlement in Rudraprayag — terraced fields, slate-roof houses, and the last road before the Deoria Tal trek. The 3 km walk from here climbs through rhododendron forest to the lake.
Most guests stay at Chopta Resort, about 30 km away, then drive to Sari in the morning. The village itself is worth a slow hour: tea, a short walk, and a look at everyday hill life before the trail begins.
